Konner & Karver Repp are 12 & 13 years old from Blaine, MN. Between the 2 of them they have had 5 major open heart surgeries, many other surgeries, and spent a countless amount of time in the hospital. Konner & Karver recently returned from a houseboat adventure in Voyageurs National Park with a day of guided fishing with Butch Eggen. What a great summer adventure! This adventure was made possible by the great people at Voyagaire Houseboats. Congratulations Konner & Karver!
In December the MN Outdoor Adventures Foundation sent 4 combat wounded veterans on a Colorado Deer/pronghorn hunt at J&D Outfitters in Colorado. 4 days of awesome hunting! Each vet shot a whitetail buck and a pronghorn, as well as a spending a day bird hunting.
Ty Olson from Round Lake, MN and is recovering from Metastatic Ewing Sarcoma with tumors in his ankle & both lungs. In December Ty went to Arnesen’s Rocky Point Resort on Lake of the Woods for an all-inclusive ice fishing adventure with his dad and his friend. Although most of the fish caught on this adventure were smaller, they had a great time and Ty caught the most fish. Congrats Ty and thank you to Steve Arnesen for helping make this adventure possible.
Andrew Mailer and his dad Joe went Duck, Goose and Pheasant hunting in October at Watson’s Hunting Camp. Andrew has Shone’s Complex, he was born with a coarctation of the heart.
Kyle Schwendemann recently took this gorgeous Bull Elk while hunting in New Mexico. Kyle was diagnosed with Cystitis Fibrosis as an infant but has not let that keep him from chasing his dreams! Thank you to his guide Wade for showing him a great time and putting him infront of a beautiful elk!
Matt Campbell of Apple Valley was serving as a marine in the first gulf war when he was injured requiring multiple surgeries on his right shoulder as well as other issues. Jaden is a 23 year old young man from Long Prairie Mn. Jaden has been in a wheelchair his whole life but doesn't let that slow him down one bit. In October 2020, Jaden shot this 6x6 elk at Autumn Antlers yesterday. Way to go Jaden, you are an inspiration to us all!!!
20 year old Jake Sernett from Prior Lake put down this great New Mexico Bull Elk in October, 2020. Jake was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He's had chemo and then a stem cell transplant. Thanks to his guide Wade from Pine Valley Outfitters! Congrats Jake!
Congratulations to recipient Luke Edmundson! Luke was born with multiple severe heart defects and he's had 4 open heart surgeries already and numerous other surgeries. In October 2020 we sent Luke to Steve Porter's Trophy Whitetails for the buck of a lifetime. Congrats Luke!!
12 year old Chloe Tegland from Maple Grove, MN has a brain tumor and has had 2 surgeries to remove it. She’s done 6 weeks of radiation and is currently doing chemotherapy. In September 2020 Chloe was on a Brainerd Lakes fishing adventure where she fished with guide Nate Berg and caught a lot of big smallmouth, bluegills, and crappies. Chloe and her parents stayed at the Arrowwood Lodge with unlimited passes to their indoor water park. Congratulations on your adventure Chloe!
In September 2020 we completed our annual group pheasant hunt. This year it was held in Binford, ND again and we had 12 Minnesota recipients and guests attend. Lots of smiles & lots of birds!
Jade Ochu from Zimmerman, MN has rare blood disorder called Systemic Mastocytosis and currently attending the U of M. In August 2020 Jade went on charter fishing adventure with RV Charters on Lake Michigan. She caught a lot of nice fish including a monster steelhead! Way to go Jade!
Bailey Moore from Maple Grove, MN had her 3rd open heart surgery in 2020. She has also had 3 strokes, spinal cord surgery, 2 eye surgeries, and more. In August 2020 she went on a family houseboat adventure with Vermilion Houseboats and 2 days of guided fishing with Dave Schueck of Sunset Glow Guide Service. A big thanks to Kyle & Joy of Lake Vermilion Houseboats for helping to make this possible. Congratulations Bailey!

15 year old Kylie Peterson was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2019. In July 2020 we sent her on a guided fishing adventure to Devils Lake ND and it looks like guide Big John Adams put her and her dad on a ton of fish!!!
Berkley Damhof is recovering from Stage 4 high Risk Neuroblastoma. After a long hard fought battle of treatments and high risk surgeries, we sent Berkley and her family on a Brainerd Lakes adventure in July 2020. They stayed at the Arrowwood Lodge with tickets to their indoor water park. Berkley made the most of her 2 days guided fishing with Nate Berg including a giant 20 1/4" smallmouth. Congratulations Berkley!
Carly Liekhus is 15 years old and suffers from synovial sarcoma, an extremely rare disease. In June 2020 we sent Carly to Lodge Of Whispering Pines for a week and had a great family outdoor adventure with a day of guided fishing.
Brody Seter of Pelican Rapids has a rare blood condition called aplastic anemia and has a port in right shoulder for medication. In Noveber 2019 we sent Brody to Double XL Whitetails on a hunt. Congratulations Brody!

20 year old Brady Berberich from Osakis had diffuse midline glioma, which is inoperable rare cancerous tumors in the primary central nervous system of his brain. Brady was an avid hunter, so in 2019 we sent Brady on the hunt of a lifetime with Steve's Outdoor Adventures on a private ranch in New Mexico. He bagged a bull elk and a huge bobcat which we presented to him at our banquet in February 2020. Words cannot express how sorry we are to hear of Brady's passing 0n July 1st, 2020.
6 year old Haakyn Mohr from Maple Grove, MN was diagnosed with stage 3 Wilms Tumor pediatric cancer the day after Christmas 2019. In October 2019 we sent the Mohr family on 1 week all-expense paid Disney vacation staying at Give Kids the World Village.
19 year old Rikki Jo Wold was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in her jaw back in October 2019. 2 weeks later she had surgery replacing her jaw bone with a bone from her leg. We are happy to say that Rikki Jo and a friend went on an all-expense paid fishing adventure to Pine Beach Lodge on Eagle Lake in Ontario. She was guided each day by one of the best guides on the lake, Cal Ritchie. The weather didn't always cooperate, but she had a great time and caught a trophy northern. Congrats Rikki Jo!
The Outdoor Adventure Foundation provided A fantastic weekend pheasant hunting experience at the Baldhill Creek Adventures Preserve October 2019. Everyone got several birds. All of our hunters on the trip are battling some form of cancer or life threratening illness, so we are glad to provide a weekend of fun for them.
21 year old JD Dentinger from Farmington, MN had Glioblastoma, an inoperable cancer in the brain. We sent JD on a hunt of a lifetime... a guided elk hunt in Colorado. JD shot a true trophy bull elk in 2019. We presented JD with his mount at our banquet in February 2020. We cannot express how sorry we are that JD lost his battle to cancer in October 2020.
Annika Seed from Maple Grove is 11 years old. She has 5 major heart defects and has had 3 open heart surgeries. We are happy to say that Annika & family went for 1 week to the beautiful & secluded Lodge of Whispering Pines in the Superior National Forest along the Echo Trail. It sounds like they had a great time. Congratulations Annika!!!
12 year old David Jimenez from Jordan, MN was diagnosed with rhabdomyosanoma in March 2019. After 2 surgeries and chemo, we sent David & his family on a Brainerd Lakes fishing adventure with Nate Berg. They caught a ton of fish including some large, hard fighting whitefish. They stayed at the Arrowwood Lodge in Brainerd with tickets to the indoor water park while they weren't fishing. Congrats David!!
19 year old Khahl Embery from Minnetonka, MN suffers from a tramatic brian injury, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and scoliosis. This prevents Khahl from being out on the water too long, but he took advantage of the time he had. Khahl & family went on a Brainderd area fishing adventure while staying at Reel Livin Resort. Guide Nate Berg helped them catch a lot of fish including a trophy smallmouth for Khahl.
17 year old Jenika Moen is recovering from Ewings Sarcoma. She returned from a Canadian fly-in fishing trip at the private Hook n' Horn lodge. Jenika and her family had a great time catching a lot of fish and enjoying the beauty god's creation. Congratulations Jenika!
21 year old Mitch Bertram from Fridley, MN is recovering from leukemia and went in 2019 on a great fishing trip to Rainy Lake and Voyageurs National Park. Mitch stayed at the Thunderbird Lodge and had 3 days of guided fishing with some of the best guides on Rainy Lake. Congrats Mitch! A big thanks to the Rainy Lake Guide Association and Thunderbird Lodge!
16 year old Hunter Moen is from West Concord, MN. Hunter had his leg amputated above the knee due to bone cancer and also had cancerous spots on his lung. We are happy to say that today Hunter is in remission. In 2019 Hunter and his stepfather Steve when on a Devil's Lake fishing adventure with Big John's guide service. Congrats Hunter!!
17 year old Sam Nelson from Zumbrota, MN went on a houseboat adventure in Voyageur’s National Park. Sam had a great time fishing with guide Butch Eggan. They even had shore lunch with their catch. A big thanks to Jim & Gretchen Janssen at Voyagaire Lodge and Houseboats for making this happen. Congratulations on a great outdoor adventure Sam!
Alex Schlink from Prior Lake, MN was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, then after treatment it came back as an aggressive non-hodgkins lymphoma T-cell. Then Alex had a bone marrow transplant, which his body rejected, followed by a hip replacement. Alex went on the trip of a lifetime- A New Zeland red stag hunt! He also bagged a bonus ram. Congratulations Alex!
14 year old Jack Randolph suffers from Cerebral palsy & autism. Jake loves the outdoors so we sent him on a guided fishing adventure to New Evarts Resort on Lake Oahe in South Dakota. We also got Jack and his family tickets to the rodeo in town. Congrats Jack!
In July 2019 we took a group of recipients to Cyrus Resort on Lake of the Woods for a charter fishing adventure. Everyone caught a lot of fish and had a great time.
Reed Oleksiw from Maple Grove, MN had his osteosarcoma come back in 2019, so we sent him on an all-inclusive, guided fishing adventure to beautiful Lake Vermilion. Reed fished with 3 different guides and caught a lot of fish. Congrats Reed!
July 2019 we took our annual a group of kids from the Ronald McDonald House to a day of fishing on Lake Minnetonka.
